A leading Canadian bank migrated all of their midlevel outplacement to Thrive in October 2019 as a way to simplify its corporate talent mobility processes. With the planned closure of a number of their customer service locations, they recognized that they were at risk of losing many of their skilled team members if they did not institute a dedicated redeployment program.

Much of the talent being impacted by the closure was immediately desirable to other departments within the bank, while others were identified as high potential upon completion of targeted upskilling/reskilling programs. The bank selected Thrive as their partner based on our ability to provide a single platform that would enable them to manage their internal redeployment, upskilling & reskilling, and outplacement programs through one provider, as opposed to hiring different vendors for each desired outcome.

Thrive worked with the bank to design redeployment programs which transitioned to career transition if the participant did not find a new role internally within 3-6 months. As a result, the bank was able to retain talent and seamlessly move it across the organization while also empowering team members to pursue new career opportunities externally if desired.
